Thanksgiving Day 2014

We just wanted to take a moment to wish all of our family and friends a Happy Thanksgiving.

Despite cool, windy and very rainy weather today, we are comfortable in our warm and dry rolling home.  The two Beagles are hibernating in their living room beds, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade is providing background music and entertainment and we are looking forward to joining friends for an evening meal at the RedFish Restaurant in Port Orford.

We are certainly thankful for all of the good friends we have made during our travels and all the fine people we have met through our travel journal and new blog.  My dear wife and I are always grateful for the opportunities offered by the RV travel lifestyle that we have chosen.

Have a great day everyone...and please stay safe!!

  1. OMG. That menu sounds wonderful. We had a fabulous Thanksgiving Day at my parent's ranch, and were blessed to reconnect with family we haven't seen in a few years. Happy to see your pups doing well and that winter in Port Orford is suiting you well.

  2. I never get to eat out. Wow, that sounds quite expensive! For 1 or both of you?

    1. Sissy...the price was $30 per person, which seems quite expensive, and is something that we don't usually do ourselves. This was a very special meal, however, and even left with a few "doggy" bags.

Part of the meal cost at this establishment must include the million dollar view of the rocky Oregon shores and, on that day, stormy Pacific Ocean. On this occasion, it was very much worth the cost.
